Educating Sustainability Superheroes

The LOHUM Foundation is dedicated to fostering a sustainable future by instilling awareness and a sense of responsibility toward sustainability in children. We believe that by educating and empowering the younger generations, we can create lasting positive change and a more sustainable world for all.

With this in mind, we have designed programs that inculcate a sense of curiosity about sustainability and responsibility for the planet. Our Approach is based on our combined experience and understanding that different children learn differently.

Aligned with this principle, we have a selection of programs to empower our sustainability superheroes to harness their superpowers in building a waste-free and pollution-free world.

Summer Camp

This 10-day camp for children aged 10-12 is ideal for children that are looking to revise their knowledge of sustainability and sustainable development and go even deeper into the subject matter. Incorporating activity-based experiential learning, the camp suits all learning styles.

Our team of expert trainers and hands-on activities ensures the camp is fun and engaging while also being educational. The diverse group of children from different backgrounds provides the ideal platform for learning about different people and encourages a spirit of teamwork, cooperation, and knowledge sharing.

Winter Camp

Our winter camp provides a platform for children with limited knowledge of sustainability to understand the subject. With our expert trainers and activity-based learning model, we are committed to sharing this knowledge and bridging the gap between educational systems.

Our hands-on projects, sessions with experts at LOHUM and staff cater to all backgrounds and provide a transformative space for learning.

Workshops

We offer short workshops to schools and NGOs to give children a quick background on sustainability and sustainable development.

Though short in time, these offer in-depth knowledge from our deep experience working in the field of sustainability and how each of the participants can play their part.

Internships

Our internship program offers children from Grades 11 and 12 an opportunity to work on projects with experts at LOHUM. The interns have their choice of topic in the field of sustainability and we pair them with the appropriate mentor at our organization.

This not only provides a real-world experience of working in an organization but also looks great on college applications!
