It is in our hands

Climate change, it is a global fight,
In India and the world, we’re all feeling it, right?
Temperature is rising and glaciers in retreat,
Carbon emissions high, can’t afford to cheat.

Worldwide carbon dioxide on the rise,
Fossil fuels are burning pollution in the skies,
Oceans are warming up, coral reefs are dying,
Many species are disappearing, no use denying.

This Shimla, once a winter wonderland,
Now scarcity of water…. Ain’t that dammed?
Snowfall is decreasing, weather getting worse,
Is it due to nature or human’s thrust?

From Shimla to Delhi, fueling the heatwaves,
Monsoon is erratic and the crops, they’re unsaved,
It was so beautiful, look what we’ve made
There will be no second chance, it’s 6^th mass extinction phase.

Ice caps melt, seas rise high,
Species vanish beneath the sky,
Temperature climbs due to forest blaze and records break,
Climate change, a big mistake,
Climate change, our planet pays.

So, let’s just all of us come together and take a stand,
Protect the planet, it is in our own hands,
Each one of us, at least small but can make a change,
Fight climate change, rearrange our range.

Renewable energy, clean and bright,
Cutting emissions, let’s do what’s right,
Sunbeams power, wind turbines spin,
Electric cars, new era begin,
Yes, each one of us will make a stand,
Protecting Earth, it’s in our hands,
Protecting our nation, it’s in our hands.
